WISE Media Literacy Program

Launched in October of 2012, the WISE Media Literacy Program is a model for STEM-based innovative education in after school programming. Grounded in inquiry based learning, we provide participants with developmentally appropriate opportunities for development, discovery and creation.

Whether we are deliberately creating a piece of communication or passively consuming media, being aware of the designer’s presence and choices makes the difference between success and failure. WISE Literacy brings together masters from the community with prepared young minds. This program creates a cycle of exposure, collaboration and maturation through journaling.
