Director's Credentialing Class

April 30, 2022 thru August 20, 2022

Director Credential classes are for Early Childhood Professionals who desire to fulfill the requirements to be a Director of a Licensed Childcare facility in the state of Texas. Minimum Standard §746.1015--6

Note: The Director's Credentialing Certificate has to be renewed every two (2) years per Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.

Class #134 begins on April 30, 2022, thru August 20, 2022 (which includes 2 additional classes for an exit interview and pass a written and oral final assessment)

(100 hours - 4 months minimum, 6 months maximum)

All classes are held on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To be eligible to take this course, you must comply with the following requirements:

1. 21 years of age or older.

2. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

3. You must have two years verifiable work experience in childcare compliant with Minimum Standards §746.1015-6.

Cost: $1,000 for the classes

(Payment schedule: $300 non-refundable deposit due on or before April 30, 2022, $350 due by June 11, 2022, and $350 due by July 22, 2022.

The Curriculum

The comprehensive curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of minimum standard §746.1015-6 which requires business management and child development components. The engagement of child development and business management in the context of a licensed center will be interactive and project-based for all who choose to embark on the professional development journey.

The Instructors

The course will be taught by Early Childhood Development Specialists registered with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS) with standard and Master designation.
