An engagement of Community, Communication and Children
Child Care Council of Greater Houston, Inc. has been involved with the implementation and practice of child and human development standards since 1971. In that period, we have learned – and continue to learn – children’s state of wellness and development are critically tied to:
- How they are communicated with and to
- Action and words must speak loudly together
- Community is the context that best serves children. It (the community) is evidence they are connected
To Standard is a learning space for the entire community to support and engage standards that advance the state of children now
Community refers to you, me, parents, teachers, other children, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, in-laws, acquaintances, politicians, activists, teachers, coaches counselors, therapists, bus drivers, artists, etc.
